Warriors Move To 14th After Second Round Of Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational

Second Round Results

KAHUKU, O`ahu - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (283-287-570) moved up a spot to 14th after the second round of the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational on the Palmer Course of the Turtle Bay Resort Tuesday.

Robert Berton (70-69-139) is UH's top golfer, tying for 23rd. Travis Toyama (71-70-141) is tied for 37th, followed by Ryan Perez (69-77-146), tied for 72nd, Kyle Walters (74-73-147), tied for 79th, and Cody Pewarchuk (73-75-148), tied for 85th.

Three Warrior are competing as individuals. Daniel Soglanich (73-76-149) leads that group, tying for 92nd. Kamden Brakel (79-73-152), tied for 101st, and Chase Bingham (77-76-153), tied for 106th.

Tennessee continues to lead the tournament at 37-under-par. UC Irvine (-26) jumped to second, followed by UT Arlington (-25) and St. Mary's (CA), Baylor and UNLV (-22).

Individually, UCI's Sean Shahi (-12) lead the way. He's followed by Boise State's Troy Merritt and Tennessee's Robin Wingardh (-11), Tennessee's Charles Ford (-10) and UTA's Bobby Massa (-9).

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final round on the Fazio course.
