Warriors Finish Wolf Pack Classic In 14th Place

Final Results

RENO, Nev. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (309-289-295-893) finished strong to move to 14th place at the Wolf Pack Classic at Wolf Run Golf Club Tuesday.

Robert Berton (79-69-73-221) led the Hawai`i contingent, tying for 34th. Travis Toyama (76-76-71-223) and Kyle Walters (75-72-76-223) ended up tied for 42nd, followed by Ryan Perez (79-72-75-226), tied for 55th, and Kamden Brakel (80-76-79-235).

Arizona took home the team title, finishing as the only team under par at 14 under. Iowa State ended up two-over-par, followed by San Diego (+6), New Mexico State (+8) and Utah (+10).

Arizona's Tyler Neal won the individual title at six-under-par, edging out John Baranco of Boise State and Air Force's Tom Whitney by a stroke. Iowa State's Chris Baker and Utah's Dustin Pimm tied for fourth at -4.

Hawai`i will next play in the Sycuan Collegiate Invitational in San Diego, Calif., from Oct. 22-23.
