UH Places Fourth at Stony Burke Intersectional

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i coed sailing team began their 2007-08 campaign with an impressive start by finishing fourth at the Stoney Burke Intersectional, Oct. 6-7, hosted by California at Teasure Island. Stanford, ranked 16th in the nation, placed first in the regatta with 101 points.

A total of 22 races, nine each in the A and B divisions, were completed during the two-day regatta. Hawaii's A division squad recorded 79 points. Mark Spector was the skipper for the A division and the crew rotated between Tiffany Wong and Jaclyn McLoughlin. The B division tallied 70 points to complete UH's total of 149. Andrew Meade was the skipper for the B division and Pamela Magasinn was the crew.

The Rainbows return to California this weekend for PCCSC Men's Singlehanded Championship hosted by Stanford University.
