Warriors End First Day Of Wolf Pack Classic In 15th Place

RENO, Nev. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (309-289-598) came back with a solid second round to hold 15th place after the first day of the Wolf Pack Classic at Wolf Run Golf Club Monday.

Kyle Walters (75-72-147) is the top UH individual, tying for 36th. Robert Berton (79-69-148) had a great second round to move into a tie for 45th. Ryan Perez (79-72-151) is tied for 31st, followed by Travis Toyama (76-76-152), tied for 70th, and Kamden Brakel, tied for 86th.

Arizona holds the tournament-lead at 11-under-par. Iowa State (-7) holds second as the only other team under par, followed by Kansas State and Utah (+2) and New Mexico State (+4).

Joe Cermak of Iowa State holds the individual lead at five-under-par. Air Force's Tom Whitney and Arizona's Tarquin MacManus and Tyler Neal are all tied for second at four-under-par, with five players tied for fifth at three under.

The classic concludes with a single round tomorrow.
