UH opened a 4-2 edge in game three, but a 7-1 NU run gave the Cornhuskers a 9-5 lead. The teams then traded points back-and-forth with a kill by Sanders cutting it back to 21-18. But Nebraska had too much, using a 4-0 run to get it to 25-18 before finishing off the Rainbow Wahine 30-24.
Hawai`i now heads back to the islands to face No. 18 New Mexico State on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
