Hawai`i Tied For Fifth After First Day Of Heather Farr Memorial

BROOMFIELD, Colo. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team (299-297-596) finished the first day of the University of Colorado Heather Farr Memorial in a tie for fifth at the Omni Interlocken Resort Monday.

Xyra Suyetsugu (75-72-147) leads the UH contingent, holding 12th. Lisa Kajihara (73-75-148) is tied for 13th, followed by Corie Hou (74-75-149), tied for 22nd, Carolina Perez (77-75-152), tied for 37th, and Kimberley Marsden (90-80-170), in 99th.

Host Colorado and Oklahoma are tied for the tournament-lead at 12-over-par. They are followed by Idaho (+14), Colorado State (+16) and UH and UC Davis (+20).

Individually, CU's Dominique Pytlewski leads the way at three-under-par. She's followed by teammate Julie Kim, Portland State's Kayla Morinaga and UC Davis' Bryana Gregory (-1) and Fresno State's Laura Luethke (even).

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final round.
