Final Results
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (299-298-296-893) finished the Shoot-Out At Angel Park in 15th place at the Angel Park Golf Club Sunday.
Ryan Perez (72-72-74-218) was the top UH finisher, tying for 25th at five-over-par. Robert Berton (75-75-73-223) tied for 47th, followed by Travis Toyama (75-76-73-224), tied for 53rd, Ashton Herriott (78-75-77-230), tied for 77th, and Kyle Walters (77-79-76-232).
UNLV took home the tournament title, finishing 12-under-par to beat the field by 17 strokes. The Rebels were followed by CS Northridge (+5), UNLV B (+17), Southern Utah (+18) and San Jose State (+19).
Individually, Gonzaga's Brandon Crick won the tournament at six-under-par, narrowly defeating UNLV's Seung-Su-Han (-5). Three golfers, Boise State's Troy Merritt, UNLV's Jarred Texter and Arizona State's Jed Dirksen, tied for third at two-under-par, while UNLV's Ji Moon (-1) was the only other golfer that finished under par.
The Warriors will next play at the Wolf Pack Classic in Reno, Nev., from Oct. 8-9.
