Day One Results
BOISE, Idaho - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team shot an opening round 294 to hold sixth at the Western Athletic Conference Championships at the Crane Creek Country Club Monday.
Three Warriors, Jarett Hamamoto, Travis Toyama and Cody Wolfenbarger, each shot an opening-day 73, tying for 11th in the championship. Ryan Perez and Pierre-Henri Soero both shot 75 to tie for 24th.
New Mexico State leads the championship at +3. They are followed by Fresno State (+5), San Jose State and Nevada (+7), Boise State (+8), UH (+10), Louisiana Tech (+19), Idaho (+23) and Utah State (+27).
San Jose State's Kevin Nabbefeld shot a two-under-par 69 to hold the lead. He's followed by Robert Goff of New Mexico State (-1), Adam Hagan of Nevada (E) and seven golfers tied at +1.
The championship continues tomorrow with the final round on Wednesday, May 2
