Warriors Tied For Sixth After First Day At Ping Cougar Classic

Day One Results

PROVO, Utah - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team is tied for sixth, firing a 10-under-par 566 after the first day of the Ping Cougar Classic at the Riverside Country Club Friday.

Pierre-Henri Soero leads the Warriors at -5, tied for 15th (72-67=139). Travis Toyama is tied for 20th at -2 (72-69=141), followed by Kyle Walters (70-74=144, t-38), Jarret Hamamoto (73-73=146, t-54) and Cody Wolfenbarger (76-70=146, t-54).

Charlotte leads the tournament at -25, followed by Fresno State and Weber State (-20), host Brigham Young (-19) and Nevada (-11).

Individually, Weber State's Barry Schenk leads at -11. He is followed by Utah's Dustin Pimm (-10), Fresno State's Jon Rosa (-9) and Boise State's Graham DeLaet and Fresno State's Brian Kelley (-8).

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final round.
