Day One Results

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Led by Dale Gammie, the University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team is tied for fourth after the first round of the San Jose State Spartan Invitational, and are just seven shots off the lead at +26.

Gammie is in third individually, firing a two-over-par 74. Xyra Suyetsugu shot a eight-over-par 80 to place her in 23rd, followed by Carolina Perez and Lisa Kajihara (81, t-24) and Nancy Shon (84, t-41).

San Jose State and San Francisco are tied for the tournament-lead at +21. Fresno State follows them at +25 with UH, UC Irvine and UC Davis tied for fourth at +28.

Individually, USF's Kristin Nichols leads the way at -1. Erica Moston (E) is in second, followed by Gammie and Jee Hyiun Park of UC Davis and Fresno State's Laura Luethke at +3.

The tournament concludes tomorrow.
