Warriors Finish Western Intercollegiate In Ninth

Final Results

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team shot a two-round total of 596 (299-297) at the 60th Western Intercollegiate, finishing in ninth place.

Pierre-Henri Soero was the top UH finisher, tying for eighth (70-73=143). Jarett Hamamoto (79-69=148) tied for the low round of the day, shooting a 69 to end in a tie for 25th. Also competing for UH were Travis Toyama (t-48, 71-81=152), Ryan Perez (t-75, 79-78=157) and Cody Wolfenbarger (t-81, 83-77=160).

Duke won the tournament, shooting 577. They were followed by Stanford (579), San Diego (584), Denver (586) and Santa Clara (587).

Individually, Stanford's Rob Grube was the medalist, firing a two-under-par 138). He was followed by UTEP's Trent Rommann and Bucky Coe of San Deigo (E, 140), and Duke's Ryan Blaum and Long Beach State's Brett Lederer (+1, 141).
