Rainbow Wahine In 14th After First Day Of Kitahara Fresno State Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team shot a 23-over-par 311 to hold 14th place at the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational Monday.

Xyra Suyetsugu and Carolina Perez led the way, with both posting a three-over-par 75, tying them for 24th. Dale Gammie shot 80 to tie for 65th, followed by Lisa Kajihara (81, t-73rd) and Kari Sur (90, 99th).

UC Irvine hold the team-lead after shooting a three-under-par 285. UCI is followed by New Mexico State (+6), Long Beach State (+8), Sacramento State (+11) and San Jose State (+12).

Individually, UCI's Selanee' Henderson leads the tournament after firing a five-under-par 67. NMSU's Lehua Wise is in second with a two-under 70, followed by UCI's Angela Won and Sacramento State's Jennifer Parkes (-1) and LBSU's Beth Holtermann, SJSU's Sirapa Kasemsamran, Oregon's Victoria Wenslow, Boise State's Katie Street and UCLA's Brianna Loyear (even).
