Warriors Finish UH Hilo Intercollegiate In Fourth; Toyama Takes Second

Final Results

HILO, Hawai`i - Led by Travis Toyama's final round 65, the low score of the day, the University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team finished the UH Hilo Intercollegiate at two-under-par, taking fourth in the tournament. Toyama finished second at -10 (69-69-65), just one shot away from the individual title.

Jarett Hamamoto shot a final round 69 to finish in a tie for 17th at -1 (65-78-69). Pierre-Henri Soero (73-76-70, +6) finished in a tie for 45th with Ryan Perez (71-77-74, +9, t63) and Kyle Walters (70-75-79, +11, t75) also placing for Hawai`i.

Georgia Tech won the team title at -27, followed by Oklahoma State (-13), Southern California (-12), UH and Stanford (+6).

Cameron Tringale of Georgia Tech beat Toyama by one stroke for the individual title with a three-day score of -11. After Toyama was Oklahoma State's Pablo Martin (-9), Kevin Larsen of Georgia Tech (-8) and Jhonatton Vegas of Texas, Edward McGlasson and Roberto Castro of Georgia Tech (-5).
