Warriors In Third After First Day Of UH Fall Intercollegiate

First Round Results

KANE`OHE, O`ahu - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team shot an even-par 288 to hold third after the first round of the UH Fall Intercollegiate at the Kane`ohe Klipper Golf Course Monday.

Travis Toyama leads the way for the Warriors, tying for seventh at two-under-par. Pierre-Henri Soero shot a one-under-par 71 to tie for 10th. Ryan Perez is tied for 28th at one-over-par while Cody Pewarchuk (t-36th, +2) and Cody Wolfenbarger (t-46th, +3) round out the UH team.

Four Warriors competed as individuals, led by Chase Bingham, who is tied for 36th at two-over-par. Scot Miller shot a seven-over-par 79 to tie for 74th, while Ashton Herriot (t-82nd, +8) and Kyle Walters (t-84th, +9) also played.

Loyola Marymount shot an eight-under-par 280 to hold first after round one. They are followed by New Mexico State (-1), UH (E), San Diego (+2) and Weber State (+3).

Individually, LMU's Brian Locke leads the tournament at four-under-par. Following Locke is a five-way tie for second at -3 that includes Weber State's Greg Buckway, USD's Darrin Hall, LMU's Jason D`Amore and Josh Escobedo, and St. Mary's Joshua Kelley.

The tournament continues tomorrow with the final round being played on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
