First Day Results

LAS VEGAS - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team shot a three-under-par 565 to finish the first day of the District 7 Shoot-out in fourth at the Angel Park Las Vegas Golf Course Monday.

Cody Wolfenbarger is the top Warrior golfer thus far, tying for 16th at two-under-par (71-69=140). Pierre-Henri Soero (70-71=141) is tied for 21st, followed by Kyle Walter (72-71=143) in a tie for 31st, and Ryan Perez (74-70=144) and Travis Toyama (71-73=144) are both tied for 40th.

San Diego State (-18) holds the team-lead, followed by Colorado State (-8), Boise State (-6), UH (-3) and Denver (-2).

Boise State's Troy Merritt shot an amazing 62 in the second round to hold the individual lead at -11. He's followed by Aaron Goldberg of San Diego State (-8), Blake Trimble of UNLV (-7) and Denver's Espen Kofstad, Chris Gresh of Utah, UNLV's Brett Kanda and Southern Utah's Tai Reynolds (-5).

The tournament concludes tomorrow with one round.
