Warriors Finish Barona Cup In 16th Place

Final Results

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (293-290-305=888) took 16th at the Barona Collegiate Cup at the Barona Creek Golf Club Tuesday.

Cody Wolfenbarger (69-72-76=217) was the top UH finisher, tying for 31st. Also competing for the Warriors were Kyle Walters (76-71-76=223), tying for 63rd, Ryan Perez (75-74-75=224), tying for 69th, Pierre-Henri Soero (78-73-78=229), tying for 87th, and Ashton Herriot (73-81-79=233).

Alabama-Birmingham won the tournament, shooting a final score of 840. They were followed by Wichita State (844), Colorado State (845), San Diego (849) and host San Diego State (853).

Zack Sucher of UAB won a playoff over Nevada's Taylor Coffman to win the individual title. Both players shot a 13-under-par 203. They were followed by Zen Brown of Colorado State (-11) and Charlie Soule of Denver and Cameron Bishop of Wichita State (-9).

The Warriors will next return home to close out their fall season with the UH Fall Invitational at the Kane`ohe Klipper Golf Course, running from Nov. 6-8.
