Warriors Tied For 13th After First Day Of The Barona Collegiate Cup

Day One Results

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (293-290=583) are in a tie for 13th after the first day of the Barona Collegiate Cup at the Barona Creek Golf Club Monday.

Cody Wolfenbarger (69-72=141) leads the Warriors, tied for 13th at three-under-par. Kyle Walters (76-71=147) was the next highest Warrior, tied for 50th. Also competing for UH were Ryan Perez (75-74=149), tied for 62nd, Pierre-Henri Soero (78-73=151), tied for 77th, and Ashton Herriot (73-81=154), tied for 90th.

Wichita State holds the tournament-lead at 21-under-par. They are followed by Alabama-Birmingham (-15), San Diego (-13), Colorado State and host San Diego State (-11).

Individually, Nevada's Taylor Coffman and UAB's Zack Sucher lead the way at 10-under-par. They are followed by Aaron Goldberg (-9), Zen Brown (-8) and Jake Yount (-7).

The tournament concludes with a single round tomorrow.
