Final Results
LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team (301-307-305=913) posted their second-straight top five finish, ending the Price's Give 'Em Five Invite, on the New Mexico State Golf Course, in a tie for fifth at 49-over-par.
Xyra Suyetsugu (77-75-75=227) led the Rainbow Wahine, tying for 19th at 11-over-par. Dale Gammie (78-76-74=228) and Lisa Kajihara (73-77-78=228) both tied for 23rd, followed by Corie Hou (73-79-82=234) in a tie for 46th and Nancy Shon (78-83-78=239) in a tie for 64th.
Host New Mexico State came back to win the tournament title at 26-over-par. Baylor finished in second at 32-over-par, with San Jose State and Missouri tying for third at 33-over-par. Nevada and Boise State tied UH for fifth at 49-over-par.
Inidividually, Lihue, Kauai, native Lehua Wise of NMSU won the tournament, finishing at two-under-par. Missouri's Ellen Hoeper (E) was in second, followed by San Jose State's Jenelle Gomez (+1), NMSU's Inah Park (+2) and three players tied for fifth at three-over-par.
UH will now return home to host the Kent Youel Invitational from Oct. 23-25 at the Kapolei Golf Course, ending their fall campaign.
