VANCOUVER, B.C., Canada - The University of Hawai`i Warrior men's volleyball team captured the University of British Columbia Tournament Championship tonight defeating the host school in five.

The Warriors dropped the first two games of the tournament final 17-25 and 19-25, before regrouping and sweeping the next three games by scores of 25-18, 25-22 and 15-12.

UH got to the championship match by knocking off Malisiona University in the morning in four games.

In the title match, Eric Kalima hit a whopping .360 on 25 swings while Kyle Klinger added a .470 hitting clip on 15 attacks.

Brian Beckwith and Steve Grgas were named to the all-tournament team.

The Warriors conclude their fall season with a pair of home exhibition matches at the Stan Sheriff Center Nov 2-3 against Long Beach State.
