ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team remain in 18th place after the second day of the University of New Mexico Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational after shooting a 20-over-par 312 on the day.
Dale Gammie had four birdies, two bogeys and a double-bogey to shoot an even-par 73 on the day, moving her to a tie for 49th with a two-day total of eight-over-par. Lisa Kajihara shot a three-over-par 76 to move her up to a tie for 71st. Roslyn Folk (82-82, t-93rd), Xyra Sugetsugu (84-81, 95th) and Kari Sur (85-84, t-97th) round out the Rainbow Wahine team.
There is a log jam at the top of the tournament as Texas A&M and Pepperdine are tied for first at two-over-par. Ohio State is just one stroke back while UNLV and New Mexico are two shots back. Individually, UNLV's Grace Woo, Texas A&M's Ashley Knoll and Pepperdine's Carolina Llano are tied for the tournament-lead at five-under-par.
The tournament concludes tomorrow. UH's five golfers tee off on the 10th hole from 8:00 a.m. to 8:36 a.m.
