Honolulu - Freshman
Kate Robinson got her first appearance on the mound tonight and responded with a two-hit, complete game shut-out against a Tokyo team that had won their last three games in a row. Robinson struck out eight and walked none with an arsenal of pitches and speeds. At one point she retired 11 batters in a row.
Fellow freshman, Louise Harriden hit her third home run of the season. She went 2-2 for the game. Harriden has eight hits for the season, three of them are homers.
Paula Blanning, who picked up the win in the first game, saw action in rightfield in the second game of a UH doubleheader. She scored the only other run of the game on a single by Ashley Ruff in the fifth inning. Blanning had reached safely off a fielder's choice.
For Hawaii, Jennifer Hackett was 2-2 for the game and Ashley Ruff went 2-3 with an RBI.
