SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Hawai`i captured fifth place today outlasting host UC Santa Barbara, 11-10, in overtime at the Gaucho Invitational.

With the score tied at nine apiece following regulation, the Rainbow Wahine got a pair of goals from Beth Novick and Iefke Van Belkum to give UH an 11-9 advantage.

The host Gauchos managed one late goal with less than a minute left to cap the scoring.

Hawai`i evened its record at 6-6 and finished in fifth place at the UC Santa Barbara Gaucho Invitational. UH managed a 4-1 record in the tournament.

UH hosts its first home match of the season next week, March 2, at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex against Michigan at 4:30 p.m.
