Final Results
HONOLULU - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team shot a 321 on the final day of the Kent Youel Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Course, finishing in 15th place at +91.
Dale Gammie led the way for the Rainbow Wahine, finishing in a tie for 24th (78-79-75=232). Lisa Kajihara tied for 35th (77-83-76=236), followed by Xyra Suyetsugu (t-42nd, 78-79-81=238), Carolina Perez (t-88th, 80-81-92=253) and Nancy Shon (t-88th, 82-82-89=253). Four UH golfers played as individuals, led by Roslyn Folk (t-70th, 83-80-83=246). Also competing were Tara Chappell (t-73rd, 79-80-89=248), Kari Sur (t-88th, 81-85-87=253) and Allie Rowe (97th, 88-95-87=270).
Sourthern California won the team title at +32. They were followed by Stanford (+38), Long Beach State (+43), California (+49) and Baylor (+56).
Stanford's Kelly Husted ran away with the individual title, finishing as the only golfer under par at -4 (69-72-71=212). USC's Irene Cho followed at +5, with LBSU's Kay Hoey and California's Sofie Anderson tying for third at +7 and Baylor's Sian Reddick and LBSU's Hayley Wilkinson tying for fifth at +8.
The Kent Youel Invitational concludes UH's fall season. They will open the spring at the Fresno State Invitational on Feb. 27-28, 2006.
