Warriors Finish 16th At Barona Collegiate Cup

Final Results

LAKESIDE, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team finished in 16th place at the Taylor Made Barona Collegiate Cup, shooting a nine-under-par 855 (285-288-282) at the Barona Creek Golf Club.

Pierre-Henri Soero led the team, firing a final round 68 to finish in a tie for 27th at five-under-par (73-70-68). Travis Toyama was two strokes back, tying for 37th at -3 (72-69-72), followed by Jarret Hamamoto (t-48th, E, 67-77-72), Cody Wolfenbarger (t-71st, +3, 77-72-70) and Kyle Walters (t-85th, +9, 73-80-72).

Brigham Young won the tournament title at -42, followed by Fresno State (-30), Louisville (-27), San Diego State (-26), Texas Tech and Denver (-22). Denver's James Love won the individual title at -15, followed by Clay Ogden of BYU and Luke Antonelli of San Diego (-12) and Jake Ellison of BYU, Texas Tech's Oscar Floren and Colorado State's Kevin McAlpine (-11).

Hawai`i will now return home before hosting their Fall Invitational at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course from Nov. 7-9.
