Cascade Locks, Ore. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow sailing team is currently second at the International Collegiate Sailing Association's North American Dinghy National Championships today on the Columbia River in Cascade Locks, Ore. UH has a running total of 54 points.
Hawai`i's A division completed six races finishing in first with 21 points. Bryan Lake and Jennifer Warnock in the A division accumulated two first place finishes and no lower than sixth. Joey Pasquali, Matt Stine, Carly Allen, Cassandra Harris and Jeffrey Boyd sailed in the B division totaling 33 points and an overall finish in second.
Rainbow sailing, on the day, finished no lower than ninth; with two first place and two second place finishes.
In front of Hawai`i was only Dartmouth, with a total of 45 points. Georgetown, 78, St. Mary's College, 88, Hobart/William Smith, 93, rounded out the top five.
The regatta continues tomorrow for the second day of the ICSA Dinghy National Championships with action coming to a close on Friday, June 4.
