Stanford, Calif. – The University of Hawai‘i coed sailing team is tied for first after the first day of the two-day Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Association (PCIYRA) Dinghy Championships today.

Hawai‘i and Southern Cal are in a tie for the top spot with 39 points. Host team Stanford is right behind with 42 points and UC Irvine rounds out the top four.

The regatta continues tomorrow with the top-two teams advancing to the Intercollegiate Sailing Association’s (ICSA) Dinghy Championships. Cascade Locks, Ore. will be the site for all three of the ICSA sailing championships.
