WAIPAHU - The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine tennis team snatched seven of nine matches in its 6-1 victory over Saint Louis, Monday, at the Central Oahu Tennis Complex.
UH's Lauren Fitzgerald, Paige Mainor, Kimberly Curtis and Renata Camargo all defeated their Billiken opponents in straight sets. Justine Boutet also fended off her SLU foe in three.
Hawai`i's Fitzgerald and Mainor were victorious in doubles action against SLU's Ana Renda and Melissa Cutler, 8-2. In addition, Rainbow Wahine's Curtis and Carmargo pounced on the Billiken's Lindsay Winninger and Rebecca Steer, 8-3.
The Rainbow Wahine improved to 6-5. Up next is Portland, Wednesday, at 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Central Oahu Tennis Complex.
