WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i - University of Hawai'i tennis players Jarrod Diepraam and Bryon Weinberg advanced to the finals of the USTA Futures Qualifying Round, Sunday, at the Waikoloa Resort. The two will meet on Monday, for one of eight berths into the Main Draw.

Diepraam earned a spot into the finals, via walk-over, after his opponent, Nathan Price, was moved into the Main Draw. Weinberg defeated Kevin Yamauchi, 6-1, 6-0, forcing the all-UH final.

Other Rainbow Warriors competing in the tournament were Ryan Sceats and Dalibor Ptak. Sceats suffered a 6-2, 6-1 defeat to Qualifying No. 5 seed Alex Minichini while Ptak was eliminated by Qualifying No. 6 seed Bo Hodge, 6-3, 6-4.

Diepraam and Weinberg are the only UH players left in the single elimination tournament, which runs through Nov. 12.
