Warriors Move Up to Second at Turtle Bay Intercollegiate After Day Two

Round Two Results

KAHUKU, Oahu - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team shot the low round of the day, a 12-under-par 276, in the second round of the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate at the Turtle Bay Resort Tuesday, pushing them to second place with just one round left to play. Hawai`i is currently at nine-under-par on the tournament, just three shots behind tournament-leader UNLV.

Cody Wolfenbarger again led the Warriors with a six-under-par 66 in the second round, pushing the sophomore to first place individually. With his first round 69, Wolfenbarger is at 135, nine-under-par on the tournament, two shots ahead of Liam Kendregan of St. Mary's for the individual lead.

Jarett Hamamoto shot a three-under-par 69 in the second round to move up to 11th place at 141 (-3). Ben Douglas also shot a 69, pushing him to a tie for 25th at 145 (+1), while Pierre-Henri Soero's 72 got him into a tie for 39th at 147 (+3). Kellen Floyd-Asao shot his second-straight 75 to leave him in a tie for 59th at 150 (+6).

After UH's great second round, the Warriors (564, -9) are just three shots behind UNLV (561, -12) for the tournament lead. UC-Riverside (564, -8) is just one shot behind the Warriors in third place, while Oregon State (576, E) is in fourth.

The UH B team shot a 296 in the second round but fell to a tie for 17th at 23-over-par 599. Travis Toyama (148, +4) is the top golfer on the B team in a tie for 45th, followed by Ryan Perez (150, +6) and Billy Bob Hoyt (150, +6) in a tie for 59th, Manarii Gauthier (154, +10) in a tie for 88th, and Scot Miller (156, +12) in a tie fore 93rd.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow at the Turtle Bay Resort.
