RENO, Nev. - The third and final round of the 28th
Annual Wolf Pack Classic was canceled Tuesday
morning due to windy and rainy conditions at the
Wolf Run Golf Club (par 72- 7,100 yards) in Reno.
The University of Hawai'i men's golf team ended
the tournament in 17th place with a two-round
score of
The Warriors were led by sophomore golfer Cody
Wolfenbarger (150. +6) and senior Ben
Douglas (151, +7). Also golfing for the
Warriors were Jarett
Hamamoto (153, +9), Pierre-Henri Soero (157, +13) and Travis
Toyama (162, +18).
Lamar University earned the team title with a
36-hole total of 564, seven strokes ahead of
second place Oregon State. Charlie Soule (Denver),
Dawie VanDerWalt (Lamar) and Ryan Gilmour (Oregon
State) tied for the top spot on the individual
leader board with a 36-hole total of 139, five
strokes under par.
The UH Warrior golf team will travel to San
Diego, Calif. on Oct. 25-26 to compete in the
Barona Collegiate Cup, hosted by San Diego
State.
