DETROIT, Mich. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow sailing team moved up to third place of the ICSA North American Coed Dinghy Championships after a solid day that included three first-place finishes and two second-place finishes.
Harvard continues to lead the way with 108 points, as they are first in both the A and B-divisions. St. Mary’s is second with 156 points, followed by the Rainbows (173), Southern California (188) and the College of Charleston (201).
UH’s A-division team of Bryan Lake and Jennifer Warnock are in third after 14 races. They had a good stretch towards the end of the day in which they took second, fifth, first, second and first in races 9-13.
The Hawai`i B-division team of Joey Pasquali, Steven Brown and Sarah Hitchcock are in sixth in their division after 12 races. The team is just one point away from fourth in their division after they finished first in the final race of the day.
Competition will conclude tomorrow with four more A-division races and six more in the B-division.
