DETROIT, Mich. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow sailing team finished in second place at the ICSA North American Coed Dinghy Championships after a strong finish by their B-division team.
Harvard won the championship with 165 points, leading the competition throughout. The Rainbows took second with 234 points, followed by St. Mary's (238), Southern California (264) and Tufts (270).
UH's B-division team had a strong final day, taking first three times, third, sixth and eighth. The team of Joey Pasquali, Steven Brown, Adam DuMouchelle and Sarah Hitchcock finished second in the B-division with 106 points.
The A-division team of Bryan Lake and Jennifer Warnock finished with 128 points, good for fourth in the division.
This was UH's best finish in the Coed Dinghy National Championships, after finishing third last year.
