ST. GEORGE, Utah.--Hawaii shot a total of 962 (+98) to finish in 17th place at the Utah Dixie Classic at the Sunbrook Golf Course in St. Geroge, Utah.
The Rainbow Wahine held on to 15th place after the first day's action, shooting 457 (+44) during the first 27 holes. UH, however, found the going a little tougher on day two, slipping two spots by shooting a total of 505 (+54) over the next 27 holes. Freshman Tara Chappell was UH's top golfer carding an 18-over-par 234 to finish in a tie for 36th.
UNLV overtook first-day leader San Francisco to capture the tournament by three strokes. The Lady Rebels carded a score of 906 (+42) to lead the 22-team field. San Francisco's Jordan Auten was the individual champion at 2-over-par, defeating Idaho's Nicole Kellar by three strokes.
Next up for the Rainbow Wahine is the Peg Barnard Invitational, hosted by Stanford University, April 12-13.
