Hawaii Places 12th at the Peg Barnard Collegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - Hawaii carded a total of 670 to finish in 12th place in the Peg Barnard Collegiate at the Stanford Golf Course today. The Rainbow Wahine shot 335 in both round one and two after playing 26 of the tournament's 36 holes today following a rain stoppage on Saturday.

Denver won the tournament with a 621, followed by Stanford (622) San Jose State (623, San Francisco (626) and Portland State (628). Stanford sophomore Wendra Liang won top individual honors at the tournament, shooting a two-round score of 148 (75-73).

Senior Bobbie Arakawa was the top performer for the Rainbow Wahine, shooting a total of 166 (86-80). Freshman Tara Chappell was one stroke behind at 167 (82-85).

Up next for the Rainbow Wahine is the season-ending WAC Championships, April 21-23. Hawaii will be hosting the seven-team event at the Kapolei Golf Course.
