TUCSON, Ariz.--Hawaii carded a score of 928 (+64) to fall into ninth place in the 54-hole Mountain View Collegiate held March 22-23 at the Saddlebrook Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz.
UH, playing in its second tournament in the last week, dropped one spot on Sunday after holding eight place following the first 36-holes on Saturday. The Rainbow Wahine shot +23 in the final round as WAC member Nevada leapfrogged Hawaii. International Pacific College won the tournament with a 890 (+26), edging Iowa State by two strokes.
Brooke Jackson was the top golfer for the Rainbow Wahine, totaling 228 (+12), good for 20th place. Tara Chappell finished just one stroke behind with a 229 (+13). Christine Boucher of Kansas State won the individual title with a 217 (+1).
Up next for the Rainbow Wahine is Utah-Dixie Classic on April 7-8.
