Final Results
KANEOHE, Oahu - The University of Hawai`i women's golf team moved up one spot on the final day of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Golf Invitational to finish in 11th place with a 987 total.
The Rainbow Wahine carded a final round 326 to move ahead of the Weber State Wildcats. Hawai`i were led by freshman Tara Chappell, who continued her fine play with a 237 total that placed her in a tie for 25th. Junior Rene Krause contributed with her second consecutive 81, which put her in a tie for 47th with a 246 three-round total.
Southern California completed their wire-to-wire victory by carding a final round 302 to give them an 897 total. The Trojans were led by Mikaela Parmlid, who overcame Arizona's Cassandra Kirkland and a windy Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course to take the individual title with a two-over-par 218 total.
The Rainbow Wahine will have little time to rest, as they next take their game to Colorado for the Mountain View Collegiate, March 22-23.
