UH Eliminated by Cowgirls

HONOLULU - The University of Hawai`i fell to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls today, 3-0, and were eliminated from the Chevron Paradise Classic.

UH's Shannon Tabion (1-2) suffered the loss as she went 5.2 innings allowing three hits and all three runs. Paula Blanning went the final 1.1 innings for UH.

The Cowgirls got all three runs in the sixth inning on a solo homer by Calli Behmer and a two-run shot by Ryan Realmuto.

The Cowgirls' Lauren Bay limited the UH offense to just two hits while striking out 11.

Hawai`i falls to 2-3 on the season while Oklahoma State improved to 3-2.

Washington won the Classic defeating Oklahoma State, 3-2, in the Championship game.

Hawai`i's Stacey Porter, Tracie Uchima, and April Crowell were named to the all-tournament team.
