Final Results
WAHIAWA, Oahu - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team finished in 11th place at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate, finishing with an 868 total. The Warriors shot an even-par 288 in the final round.
Junior James Beston put together a one-under-par 71 to lead Hawai`i. Beston with a three-under-par 213 total that placed him in a tie for 12th. Junior Matt Kodama struggled in his final round, carding a 75 to give him a 216 total, good enough to tie him for 26th. Sophomore Kellen-Floyd Asao continued his round-to-round improvement with a 71 on the final day that moved him into a tie for 38th.
Arizona took the team title easily with, shooting a 280 on the final day for an 843 total. However, it was San Diego State's Lars Johansson who took home the individual title, finishing with a 208 total, one shot better than the Wildcats' Chris Nallen and UNLV's Travis Whisman.
The Warriors next tee it up at the Bite Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Santa Barbara, Calif., March 31-April 1.
