Hawaii Finishes 11th at Price's Intercollegiate; Odelius Places Sixth

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico-- The University of Hawaii women's golf team shot a final-round 317 to finish in 11th place at the Price's Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate hosted by New Mexico State. UH received top performances from its three freshman, led by Sara Odelius who carded an even-par 72 to finish in a tie for sixth place.

Odelius totaled a seven-over 223 and tied four others for sixth place. Fellow freshman Dale Gammie also finished in the top 20, scoring a 10-over 223, good for 17th place, while Megan Stoddart scored 238 to place 50th. Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were sophomore Brooke Jackson (82-81-89 -- 252) and senior Megan McGuinness (87-88-92 -- 267).

UH finished with a team total of 939, while Oklahoma captured the tournament after leading wire-to-wire. The Sooners finished with a total of 888, two strokes ahead of Baylor. Kansas State's Christine Boucher cruised to the individual title with a six-stroke victory. Boucher tallied a three-under 213 in the 54-hole tournament.

The Rainbow Wahine next host the Kent Youel Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Course, November 4-5.
