HONOLULU -- The University of Hawai`i Sailing Team's Red Team won the Rainbow Invite Sunday with an overall score of 53 points in both the A and B divisions at Keehi Lagoon. The UH Green team and the UH Blue team finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Red Team, consisting of Bryan Lake, Jennifer Warnock, Joey Pasquali and Katie Jackson, took first, beating second place Stanford by 25 points. Lake and Warnock won the A-Division by 23 points over the team from UC Santa Barbara with a score of 19 points, while the UH Red team finished second in the B-Division, nine points behind Stanford.
The UH Green team got a strong showing by Matt Stine and Adam Dumochelle in the A-Division, finishing third with 43 points, while the UH Blue team's Steve Brown and Elena Millard finished third in the B-Division with 54 points.
Hawai`i's women's team also placed well overall, finishing seventh out of the 12 teams, with all of the other teams being coed.
