The Rainbow Wahine finished seventh at the Dellenbaugh Women’s Trophy in Bristol, R.I., April 13-14. All-American Molly O’Bryan and All-American Crew
Sarah Hitchcock finished seventh in the A division although they were disqualified from the second of 16 races.
Renee DeCurtis and
Melody Torres finished seventh for Hawai`i in the B division.
St. Mary’s College won the regatta, with Old Dominion and Brown finishing second and third, respectively.
The Rainbow Wahine are ranked fifth in the most recent Sailing World magazine college poll. The coed team is ranked 13th.
Next up for Hawai`i sailing is the Thompson Trophy in New London, Conn., for the coed team. The Rainbow Wahine sail next at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Association Women’s Championships in Long Beach, Calif. Both regattas will be April 20-21.
