HENDERSON, Nev. - The University of Hawai`i women's golf team made Tuesday moving day, as they jumped into 8th place on the second day of the Las Vegas Founders Women's Showdown with a 632 total.

The Rainbow Wahine's 303 was their best round of the season, and moved them up four spots in the standings. The team's effort was led by freshman Tara Chappell who had her best round of her collegiate career with an even-par 72. Chappell's 12-stroke improvement over her first round score was a dramatic example of the team's second round, as every Wahine either matched or improved upon their opening round.

New Mexico took over the team lead from host UNLV, as they carded a 283 second round score to give them a 589 total. UNLV's Sunny Oh is the closest player to par with a one-over-par total of 145 total.
