GENOA, Nev. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Warrior team finished tied for 11th at the Wolf Pack Classic at Genoa Lakes Golf Club with a three-round total of 881. Host Nevada won the tournament by five strokes over UTEP (851-856) to become repeat champions in the 54-hole event.
Warrior Kellen-Floyd Asao was a major part of UH jumping two spots after sitting in 13th place on Monday. The sophomore from Pearl City, Oahu shot five-under par on the final day to finish in fourth place with a total of 209 (-7). Wyoming's Kurt Kowaluk set the pace with a three-round total of 204 (-12).
Next up for UH is the Fresno Lexus Classic hosted by Fresno State at the San Joaquin Country Club on Friday and Saturday of this week.
