Final Results
KAPOLEI, Oahu - The University of Hawai`i women's golf team finished the Kent Youel Invitational in 17th place with a 963 total. The Rainbow Wahine were unable to make a move on the final day, despite carding a 318 team score, their best of the tournament.
Senior Laura DuLucia led the team with a 235 total to finish in a tie for 51st. Junior Megan McGuinness was just one shot back with a 236 total. McGuinness improved each round, finishing with a 76 to put her in a tie for 55th. Senior Kristin Scholl competed as an individual and finished the highest of any Hawai`i golfer, tying for 44th. Scholl bounced back from a second round 81, with a final round of 75.
California took the team title with an 870 total. The Golden Bears were the only team to finish the tournament with three sub-300 rounds (285-296-289). Stanford's Kim Rowton won the individual title thanks to a final round 71, which gave her a one-under-par 215 total.
