FRESNO, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i men's golf team finished the first day of the Fresno Lexus Classic in 15th place after carding a 36-hole total of 618. However, Brigham Young and Colorado State have yet to finish their second rounds, making the placements all tentative.
The Warriors shot rounds of 312 and 306 to open the tournament. Because the complete 36 holes were not completed by each team, individual scores were not reported.
San Diego State and UTEP are tied for the lead with 580 totals.
Due to darkness, play was suspended with BYU and Colorado State scheduled to finish their rounds Saturday morning before the final 18 holes begin.
