The University of Hawai`i Wahine split-squad sailing  team finished second and seventh, Oct. 27-28, at the  Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Yacht Racing (PCIYRA)  Women's Fall Championship.

The regatta was held in Newport Beach, Calif. Marin Diskant, Renee DeCurtis, Jennifer Warnock and Sarah Hitchcock sailed for UH1, which finished second. Sam Howard, Sarah Reed, Kili Chivers and Stephanie Harris sailed for UH2, which finished seventh. UC Irvine won the regatta.

The Wahine are ranked eighth in the most recent Sailing World magazine college poll. The coed team is ranked seventh.

This was the last regatta for the Wahine. Next up for  Hawai`i coed sailing is the North/South Intersectional  in Santa Barbara, Nov. 10-11.
