Jared Kanoa, joined the University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department in August 2017.
Kanoa held the position of Graphic Designer/Video Board Coordinator from 2017 to 2022 and was promoted to Creative Marketing Specialist in the summer of 2022. In his role, Kanoa is responsible for content creation of graphic and motion graphics for the Daktronics video board displays at all UH Athletics venues. While also managing and creating digital and print content for Learfield IMG, Digital Media and Marketing Departments. In the spring of 2025, Kanoa assumed the responsibility of handling licensing and branding for the department, collaborating with partners in Hawai‘i and worldwide.
In 2025, Kanoa was awarded by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) along with Assistant Marketing Director Brent Inouye for their incredible work on the year-long promotion called the "Mixed Plate Series". The promotion received GOLD status in Group 1 of the annual "Best of Awards." The promotion spanned women's volleyball, men's volleyball, and baseball. Putting a unique spin on various cultures, heritages, and different traditions of various ethnic groups who represent the Hawai‘i fan base.
Kanoa previously worked at Local Motion Hawaii from 2019-2022 as a graphic designer.
The East Oahu native earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa in 2019.
He currently resides in ‘Ewa Beach, O‘ahu.
