Aysia Amion joined the Student-Athlete Academic Services at the University of Hawai‘i in January 2025.
Amion currently holds the position of Learning Specialist. In her role, Amion is tasked with identifying and assisting student-athletes who are experiencing ongoing challenges with academics and other factors that could impact their academic performance.
Amion previously worked at the College Opportunities Program (COP) at Queen Lili‘uokalani Center for Student Services from 2017-24, helping first-year students become empowered and support the student’s academic, social, and personal development, while addressing their individual needs and fostering growth.
Originally from Wahiawa, O‘ahu, she earned both of her degrees at UH Manoa. She received her BA in Sociology in 2016, and her M.Ed in Higher Education Administration in 2020.
She and her husband, Keanu, currently reside in ‘Ewa Beach, O‘ahu.
