Associate Head Coach / Recruiting Coordinator-Goalkeepers

Marc Fournier was hired in the spring of 2011 as an assistant coach for the UH women’s soccer team and elevated to associate head coach before the 2017 season. Fournier’s primary responsibility is working with the team’s goalkeepers. He also oversees the program’s academic progress and helps coordinate the team’s various youth camps.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS

Coached the first-ever UH player to be appointed as Goalkeeper of the Year in the Big West in 2019 with Alexis Mata.
From 2016 to 2019 goalkeepers under Fournier shined by ranking in the top three of saves within the Big West Conference.
While coaching Mata, helped lead her to finish in top five of seven major goalkeeping statistics.
UH led the Big West Conference in saves with 103 in 2019 and second in save percentage at .792.
Coached Monk Berger when she accounted for a program-high seven shutouts in one season during the 2016 campaign, and finished No. 1 in career shutouts with 15.
Two goalkeepers have been awarded with All-Big West Conference, including three certificates.
In 2009 at HPU, mentored all-conference keeper Matt Terry, who was rated as the nation’s 14th-ranked keeper with a goals-against-average of 0.75.

PLAYING EXPERIENCE

UH- Hilo, 2006-2007

PLAYING HIGHLIGHTS

A member of the inaugural team at UH-Hilo in 2006.
As a senior in 2007, posted 53 saves in 18 matches, averaging 2.94 saves per match and halted 58 shots on goal, earning PacWest Conference second-team honors.
