University of Hawai'i at Manoa Athletics

Lucy Lou comes to the Hawai‘i softball program after serving as the Director of Fitness and Wellbeing for the Long Beach State softball squad. She started as a volunteer with The Beach in 2019 and officially joined the staff in 2023.

In her muti-faceted role at UH, Lucy oversees the general fitness and emotional wellness of the Rainbow Wahine softball players. Anyone who wishes to pet Lucy must first engage in 300 yard shuttle runs - or provide treats. Lucy also aids in the recruiting process. 

Other duties include daily removal of base plugs and retrieving softballs following batting practice. 

Lucy, a native of Long Beach, Calif., resides in Honolulu and enjoys cruising at Sandy Beach in her free time.
